Asiarope Math Olympiad 2024
The ASIAROPE Olympiad is an international competition in Mathematics, Science, and English Journalism for Primary Levels (Grades 1 to 6), Secondary Levels (Secondary 1 to 4) and Senior Secondary Levels (Grade 11 & 12). It aims to promote excellence and proficiency in Mathematics, Science and Technology, and English Journalism through friendly global competitions and to promote tourism of and for Asia and Europe.
THE ORGANISATION BEHIND ASIAROPE
ASIAROPE is organized by the GLOBAL LEAGUE OF WINNERS, INC. or GLOW. It is a duly registered nonstock, nonprofit organization operating in Cebu City, Philippines, with a number of Ambassadors coordinating with its promotion and administration. It is also promoted worldwide by partner organizations in different countries.
OLYMPIAD INDIA is a Partner of GLOW to promote and conduct ASIAROPE Mathematics and Science Olympiads in INDIA along with other Indian Subcontinent Countries.
Category 1 – Kindergarten and Primary 1 (KG and G1)
Category 2 – Primary 2 and 3 (G2 and G3)

Category 5 – Secondary 2 and 3 (G8 and G9)

Short Answer Question : 5 ( 6 points for Each Correct Answer)

A. National Round – ASIAROPE Olympiad Awards Committee shall recognize the participants in this manner:
a. Higher 60% of the total number of participants shall qualify to the International Round and shall be entitled to one of these awards based on their scores:
78 – 90 marks – Diamond Medal & Certificate
65 – 77 marks – Gold Medal & Certificate
52 – 64 marks – Silver Medal & Certificate
Below 52 marks and Remaining
Participants in the 60% cut – Bronze Medal & Certificate
Top Scorers per Level – Trophy
b. Lower 40% of the participants – Honorable Mention Certificate
B. Global Round – ASIAROPE Olympiad Awards Committee shall recognize and award the participants based on the following criteria:
78 – 90 marks – Diamond Medal & Certificate
65 – 77 marks – Gold Medal & Certificate
52 – 64 marks – Silver Medal & Certificate
Below 52 marks and Remaining
Participants in the 60% cut – Bronze Medal & Certificate
Special Awards – For every level, the ASIAROPE Olympiad Awards Committee shall give additional awards to:
Perfect Scorer* – Cash
Champion (Rank 1) – Trophy
First Runner Up (Rank 2) – – Trophy

Scope for Categories 1, 2, and 3
A. Number Theory – Number & Number Sense, Fundamental Operations, Cryptarithm/Alphametics, Least/Greatest Number, Ordinals, Fractions, and Other Operations.
B. Logical Analysis – Comparison and Replacement, Excess-Shortage Calculations, Assumptions (Cars & Bicycles, Chicken & Rabbit), Recursive Patterns, Page Number Problems, Tessellations; Shortest Path Analysis, Abstract Reasoning and Data Handling.
C. Geometry – Perimeter, Area, Geometric Figures (Counting Figures and Symmetry), and Measurements of Time, Money, Temperature, etc.
D. Combinatorics – Pigeonhole Principle, Counting Principle, Arrangement, and Probability.
Scope for Category 4, 5, and 6
A. Number Theory – Number & Number Sense; Real Numbers; Infinite Complex Fractions; Divisibility; Ratio, Proportion and Variations; Indices and Radicals; Bases other than 10; Modular Arithmetic, Diophantine Equation and Euclidean Algorithm; Fermat’s Theorem; Sums of Divisors; The Φ Function; Wilson’s Theorem; The Pell Equation; and General Methods.
B. Logical Analysis – Mathematical Induction; Infinite Series; Progressions (Sequences & Series); Summation; Set Theory; Model Theory; and Recursion Theory and Data Handling.
C. Algebra – Indices and Radicals; Factorization and Manipulations; Polynomials; Functions (Transformation and Inversion); Linear & Quadratic Functions; Systems of Linear & Quadratic Equations; Absolute Value Inequalities; Trivial Inequality; Linear & Quadratic Inequalities; Binomial Theorem; Remainder Theorem; Rational Expressions; Exponential and Logarithmic Functions
D. Geometry – Plane Figures (Perimeters, Areas); Analytic Geometry (Coordinates, Distance, Slopes, Circles & Conics); Three Dimensional Geometry (Cubes, Boxes, Cylinders, Spheres, Prisms, Cones, Pyramids, and Polyhedron); Translations (Shifts, Turns, Flips, Stretches, Squeezes); Triangles (Angles and Trigonometric Functions) and Triangle Similarities & Congruencies; and Quadrilaterals and Polygons.
E. Combinatorics – Identities; Pascal’s Identity; Binomial Theorem; Counting and Probability (Constructive Counting, 1-1 Correspondence, Pigeonhole Principle); Fibonacci Numbers, Recursion; Permutation; Combination; Expectation; Conditional Probability; and graph theory.
