American Mathematics Olympiad 2026
American Math Olympiad (AMO) is an international math competition for elementary, middle and high school students jointly organised by SIMCC and Southern Illinois University (SIU). It promotes the importance and a deeper understanding of math. AMO is open to all Grade 2 to 12 students and its framework is based on The US Common Core Standards. A group of the best educators from Southern Illinois University with comprehensive knowledge and experience in the Common Core Math curriculum design unique papers to challenge the student and at the same time promote their interest in math. Some of the distinguished benefits (or The key benefits) of AMO are university scholarships, Global Scholars Program, International Junior Honor Society (IJHS) membership, tuition grants and internships.
AMO is open to all Primary 2 to 6, Secondary 1 to 4 students and Junior College 1 to 2 (Grade 1 to 11/12 (JC) students from International schools). The duration of the test is 90 minutes for all grades. Each level has a differentiated paper and contains 25 questions within 2 sections:

Section B: 5 Non-routine Questions (5 points for each correct answer; no penalty for wrong answers)

To help students prepare more effectively, we are introducing the Adaptive Learning Portal for AMO, exclusively for Grade 3 to Grade 8 students.
Through this platform, students will have access to:
1. AI-Guided & Chapter-wise Practice Sessions
• 24 structured practice sessions
• 15–20 questions in each session
• Chapter-wise practice to strengthen concepts
2. Past Year Papers
• Practice past-year AMO papers in the form of mock tests
• Familiarize yourself with the question patterns and difficulty level
3. 5 Mock Test Series
• Attempt full-length mock tests
• Assess your preparation and improve your performance
Unlike traditional practice platforms, Schol-e encourages students to think and attempt questions independently. If a student gets stuck, the platform provides step-by-step solutions and also allows students to interact with an AI tutor for instant guidance.
