JUNIOR CANADIAN CHEMISTRY OLYMPIAD 2026
• The Junior Canadian Chemistry Olympiad (JCCO) is an annual event for grades 7 to 11 students. Our goal is to promote interest in chemistry amongst younger high school students jointly organized by Chemical Institute of Canada and SIMCC with support from the Faculty of Department of Chemistry at the University of British Columbia.
• Each year SIMCC contestants outside of Canada and China, interested in chemistry can participate in the JCCO contest. The contest is a 90 minutes, 25 multiple choice questions chemistry quiz.
• The topics covered in the contest are the 11th-grade high school chemistry curriculum and beyond. At least eighty certificates are awarded to the top-performing students across SIMCC countries and territories. The best performing students in the contest are invited to the annual Junior Canadian Chemistry Olympiad Online Camp organized by the Department of Chemistry at the University of British Columbia.

• Length of competition: 90 minutes.
• Number of questions: 25 multiple choice questions
> Physical certificate for each participant
> Medals for Perfect scorer, Gold, Silver and Bronze winners
> E-certificates are given to participants who qualify for Honorable Mention and Certificate of
Participation
