INTRODUCTION
The Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge (SIMOC) is a unique concept of mathematics competition which not only tests your ability to solve mathematical problems on paper but also tests your capability to work as a team to solve interactive mathematical games and puzzles.
SIMOC provides an international platform for students to compete with the brightest minds from across the globe, fostering mathematical ingenuity, logical reasoning, and collaborative skills.
Why Participate in SIMOC?
Three-in-One Competition: Unlike traditional exams, SIMOC includes an individual written test alongside highly engaging, team-based math games and mind sports.
Global Recognition: Compete with students from over 30 countries and earn internationally acclaimed certificates and medals.
Develop Core Skills: Enhances non-routine problem-solving, spatial visualization, team dynamics, and strategic thinking.
Competition Format & Structure
SIMOC stands out because it combines individual excellence with collaborative teamwork. The competition consists of three distinct components:
| Category | Description | Format |
| 1. Math Olympiad Contest | Individual written test assessing mathematical problem-solving skills across 11 differentiated levels. | 25 Questions Duration: 90 Minutes (Perfect Score: 85 points) |
| 2. Maths Warriors Competition | A thrilling, team-based strategic game that tests mental arithmetic and tactical positioning. | Team Event (3 Divisions) |
| 3. Mind Sports Challenge | A team-based challenge focusing on logic puzzles, spatial awareness, and interactive math engineering. | Team Event (3 Divisions) |
Eligibility & Differentiated Levels
SIMOC is open to students from Grade 1 to Grade 11/12 (Primary 1 to Junior College 2).
Important Note: Typically, to qualify for the global SIMOC finals in Singapore, students must have achieved a Gold, Silver, or Bronze award in the SASMO (Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad) , AMO or SINGA Math competitions held earlier in the year.
